A provider quotes a low per-line rate that excludes hardware and porting
Situation: A VoIP proposal’s headline price looks well below the current phone bill, but handsets, number porting, and setup are quoted separately.
Useful response: Build the full first-year cost including hardware, porting, training, and any parallel-running period, and compare that total—not the bare per-line rate—to the current arrangement.
Boundary: This guide does not evaluate a specific VoIP vendor or guarantee call quality on any given network.
